Worship: Sovereign Grace Music & Worship Matters
I had some free time over the Christmas break and I spent much of it on the following websites. They have been so helpful that I've added them to my own blog links.
The first is Sovereign Grace Music:
This site is chalk full of good worship material from the accomplished worship leaders, musicians and song writers in the Sovereign Grace Ministries family. The feel is fresh but unpretentious, theologically sound but approachable. There is both praise music and hymnody.
What's best is that the site is super well organized, unlike other worship music sites I've been on recently. Each worship album can be ordered; you can order by song too (think iTunes). Most have free samples of the songs, lead sheets & chord charts (both the original and congregational keys), transparencies and scores for purchase too. I plan to use several songs in the coming months in my worship leading.
The second is WorshipMatters:
This site is the personal blog of worship leader, musician and song writer Bob Kauflin (also of the Sovereign Grace Ministries family). He does a fine job of presenting issues germane to the evangelical worship leading community, with sensitive, tact and humility. Most importantly, his contribution is informed and infused with scripture. I've been leaving lots of comments here, and hope that you too will join in on some excellent discussions.
